Lefty’s Lemon Myrtle

A foraged twist on the classic South Side cocktail. I have married the Botanist Islay Dry Gin, with a refreshing slap of freshly foraged lemon myrtle leaves, a handful of mint, pressed lemon juice and a dash of sugar syrup too tie it all together.

  • 50ml Botanist
  • 10 Lemon Myrtle Leaves
  • 5 Mint Leaves
  • 20ml Lemon Juice
  • 20ml Sugar Syrup

Lemon Myrtle: A phenomenal flavour and aroma comes from these leaves, a subtle citrus twinge and a herby-ness that reminds me of an asian inspired lemon grass tea. A truly versatile native ingredient, I only wish I didn’t have to travel all the way up to NSW to get my hands on some of these bad boys!
