Lilly of the Forest

Ingredients:

An Australian inspired and forest foraged cocktail.

  • Lilly Pilly infused Botanist Islay dry gin
  • Pine needle soda made from pine needles foraged from Kinglake mountains in Victoria australia.

Reminisent of my childhood and growing up on a small farm on the outskirts of this mountain i wanted to take us back to the days we spent camping in our backyards with the smell of pine trees all around us and the taste of home made damper and fresh farm butter. This cocktail was my ode to mother nature combining foraged ingredients and locally grown and sourced ingredients to showcase my home.


Foraging notes

A lot of new growth in this area due to the bush fires in 2010. Beautiful landscape and lovely new wildlife that has moved in made it hard to find much that had not already been taken.
