The menu boasts seven Botanist cocktails, including ‘Flame Spirit with Campari, Cointreau and Italian blood orange soda and ‘The Last Word’ with green Chartreuse, Luxardo Maraschino and lime juice. These amazing creations were dreamt up by the hotel’s expert bartending team to showcase seasonal ingredients and compliment the flavour of The Botanist, so all you have to do is choose which one to sample first!
Winstanley House, Leicester
This stunning hotel is a grade II listed Georgian house located just outside of Leicester city centre. You don’t need to book in advance to spend time on this terrace which makes it a great destination for an impromptu cocktail! Sip on the Berry Bramble which combines The Botanist Gin, blackberry, raspberry, vanilla and lime or try the Winstanley Garden, a refreshing blend of The Botanist Gin, St. Germain, lime & cucumber.
Amarone, Aberdeen and Edinburgh
If you find yourself in Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh, or further north in Aberdeen, you can enjoy the outdoor experience at Amarone. Both terraces are offering modern Italian fare with timeless gin cocktails. Simple but delicious, you can enjoy a ‘Tom Collins’ with The Botanist gin, lemon juice, sugar and soda water, perfect for cooling down on a hot day, or a classic ‘Negroni’ with The Botanist gin, Campari and Martini Rosso. All you need do is close your eyes and imagine a bustling piazza and the cocktails will do the rest.
Set in the city’s bustling Merchant City area, Barolo offers a classic Italian experience, and cocktails on the terrace are no different. They have the ‘Puccini’, which is a mix of The Botanist gin, mandarin liqueur & prosecco and a unique take on the Negroni. Their ‘AGED NEGRONI features The Botanist gin, Campari, Cocchi Di Torino and orange zest, aged in a house oak barrel. The perfect place to enjoy a slice of Italy with friends.
Harvey Nichols, Leeds
Tucked away on the fourth floor of Harvey Nichols in Leeds, you’ll find a hidden delight – alfresco dining and delectable cocktails with a view. Looking out across the rooftops from this terrace, you can sample a specially curated menu of refreshing gin cocktails, showcasing the most flavoursome botanicals. Try the ‘Islay Sling’ with The Botanist gin, Cointreau, Cherry Heering, Dom Benadictine, Lemon Juice and Pineapple Grenadine or if you prefer something with a bit of sparkle, the ‘French 75’ is a luxury mix of The Botanist, lemon juice and Harvey Nichols Brut Champagne.
CuVée VIII, Esher
This Mediterranean themed Alfresco Garden will transport your senses to the South of France with its burbling water fountains, creeping plants and relaxed atmosphere. They’ve plumbed for some exotic cocktails to boot – take a ride on the ‘Orient Express’- The Botanist Gin Infused with Jasmin Tea, Italicus, lime juice, sugar syrup, Apple Cider and rainbow candy or set your sights on the Purple Hills which contains The Botanist Gin, Italicus, lime juice, sugar syrup, egg white with Crème de Mure and meringue.
Plateau, Canary Wharf
In amongst the hustle and bustle of London, you’ll find The Botanist Wild Summer terrace at Plateau, Canary Warf. Featuring lush, green botanicals and an incredible cocktail menu, you can relax and take in the views whilst sampling 6 summer cocktails including ‘The Botanist Spritz’, with elderflower cordial, Prosecco, peach liqueur, lemon juice and fresh mint, or ‘The Rocking Tree’, which features The Botanist Gin, Amaretto, Pineapple Juice, passionfruit puree and lemon juice.
Sabine, St Paul’s
A new addition to London’s terraces, Sabine, located on the top floor of the Leonardo Royal Hotel, boasts incredible views of St Pauls Cathedral, and the chance to listen to its bells peeling on the hour. With cocktails including ‘What The Dickens’ which features The Botanist gin, Cointreau, orange juice, lemon juice, fresh raspberries, Fever-Tree blood orange soda and the ‘G+T SUMMER’, The Botanist served with raspberries & banana leaves paired with cucumber tonic, Sabine offers both simple and sophisticated cocktails. The Hansom, St Pancras
Roof Garden St. Pancras X The Botanist Gin is our last London terrace. Located at Kings Cross, this trendy hangout. Cocktails include ‘The Botanist Negroni’, a simple but effective classic using The Botanist Gin, Campari and Cocchi Vermouth Di Torino. If you are after something light and refreshing then ‘The Botanist G&T’ with The Botanist Gin, Fever-Tree Tonic Water and chamomile and peach should hit the spot. This terrace also features a woodfired pizza oven and a snack menu so it would be easy to lose yourself here for the afternoon.
