Foraged Island Botanicals
The first and only Islay dry gin

Live Reviver

By Jane Carswell

15th November 2017

This is a really simple foraged cocktail, that uses the proportions of the corpse reviver, hence it's name.  We have some window boxes and planters at the distillery, so this made use of the herb survivers of the season for today's gin tour.

25ml Botanist gin

25ml dry vermouth

25ml lemon juice

25ml sugar syrup

4 sprigs of lemon balm

1 sprig rosemary to garnish

Muddle the ingredients and the lemon balm in a mixing glass for 40 seconds. Add lots of ice and stir slowly until chilled. Strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary.

Foraging Notes

Find more about lemon balm here: the 22 - lemonbalm, or by typing lemon balm into the search bar of our site. It's one of our favourite useful bar herbs, an excellent gin and tonic garnish, so worth knowing about.
