THE BOTANIST COCKTAIL MASTERCLASS

Can you tell your martinis from your negronis and your spritz from your snappers? Fear not, we’re here to help with our bespoke cocktail experience. This hands-on session kicks off with one of the world’s most popular (and simple to make) cocktails, The Botanist Gin & Tonic, followed by a tutorial on how to make two irresistible cocktails. These cocktails follow our guiding principles of being gin-forward, local and seasonal. Drinks will vary depending on the season and locally available ingredients but all will be easy for you to replicate at home. This experience includes an introduction to The Botanist Islay Dry Gin, our signature 22 hand-foraged botanicals, our still, Ugly Betty, and our unique distillation process.

How long does the experience last?

The Botanist Cocktail Masterclass lasts approximately 90 minutes.

Where exactly is Bruichladdich Distillery situated?

Bruichladdich Distillery is situated on the southwestern tip of the island of Islay, in the Scottish Hebrides. You can find us at the below address and our distillery opening hours are from 10:00 - 17:30, seven days a week from April until the end of October and 10:00 – 17:30 Monday – Saturday from November to end March.

How do I change my booking?

Contact us at tours@bruichladdich.com or call +44 (0) 1496 850190 within 24 hours of your tour time and we will be able to change your booking. If you wish to cancel your booking you will receive a full refund as long as you notify us 24 hours before the tour time.

Are these experiences suitable for children?

Unfortunately, our tour experiences are only designed for adults aged 18+.

Do I have to book in advance?

Due to the limited number of spaces available on our Botanist experiences, we would advise you to book in advance (particularly for bigger groups). We will always aim to accommodate guests who turn up on the day but cannot guarantee a place on any of our experiences.

I’m driving, how can I make the most of my visit?

On our Cocktail Experience, drivers will receive a couple of miniatures of The Botanist and tonic water to take home. There is also the option to mix their base cocktail without ice and take it home to enjoy later.
